Shot List

This is my shot list, it is a strict plan that will ensure that I take all my pictures when I need to and I am clear on what shots and what equipment I need. I used it for 2 of my shoots so far and it really helped.

My 8 Interview Questions

The 8 questions I am going to ask my artist
·         It’s a new year so what are your resolutions for 2013?
·         Have you always wanted to be a musician, is it in the blood?
·         Tell us who inspired you, your parents or your cat pikatchoo?
·         Who would you love to collab with?
·         Who you feeling right now in the music industry?
·         We want to know where do you see yourself in 10 years?
·         Why BaddaBoom Tee, why not Tiana?
·         So you're at college - what are you studying?

What I need to know before considering before planning your questions? • What my readers already know about my artist? • What my readers want to know about my artist? • If it is going to be formal or informal interview? • Timing – interview is not too long or short • Chatty text • Conventions of Grime and Hip Hop interviews I have watched and got some ideas from looking at an interview with Chipmunk. I have noticed that Grime artists like Chip himself take interviews much more seriously when talking espicially about their hertiage and background.

FLATPLAN

This is my front cover, my main colours are white, black, pink and yellow or green. I am aware that I may change my colour scheme depending on the gender of the person I am using on my front cover. To improve my front cover I need to make sure that the fonts relate to the genre of my music magazine which is UK Grime. This is my contents page. I am going to change the font of the word 'contents' making sure you can tell it portrays UK Grime and that it follows on and relates to the front cover.

My Animation Interview

Market Research by ashamariapinder on GoAnimate

Video Maker - Powered by GoAnimate. From this very short interview I found out that people of a young age don't like to pay too much for magazine's as they do not work I also found out that the main image and the feature entices them more to buy a magazine (this was not featured in my animation as there was a limit to how many seconds I could do)

Listen to AK & Locs (playlist)

Flatplan

My flatplan is due for next week tuesday so I will be getting started with that ASAP! A flatplan is a detailed plan of my magazine and what it should look like when my magazine is completed. What I must remember when designing my flatplan? The type of shot I will be using for my front cover/contents and DPS I must have a minimum of 4 images It must be very detailed with colour and text, it should look just like your finished magazine. It should show how my research has influenced the design for my flatplan I should explain every change

This is Marvel Music

WATCH THIS

Introducing Marvell Boys

Marvell Boys are a group of young males who met due to a chain of mutual friends. They go by the names of Double S, Vertex and Shocka from Tottenham, North London. They created the group in 2008 due to their interest into grime music. They were quick to gain popularity and huge fan base. I first met Marvell at Chipmunks concert in the summer of 2010 where they were performing alongside Chip, Skepta and Wretch 32. As well as producing music they also have their own clothing range. They use social media to promote themselves and they are very open and friendly with their fans. I feel this is important as you want your fans to feel respected and close to you. I regularly talk to them and also promote them. They take advantage of Web 2.0 and use sound cloud, twitter, facebook, myspace and YouTube as ways to get more known and maybe one day signed to a major label.

The interview we had on twitter will be posted shortly.
